Under general supervision and within the limitations of Association policy, the Paralegal/Contract Specialisthandles complex contract administration and negotiation-support for a 5,000 plus pilot union. They take an active and leadership role working with others in analyzing member contract questions, drafting grievance documents, presenting grievances, developing work plans, and managing projects to completion in a strong team environment. Labor Relations Counsel

Under minimal direct supervision and within the limitations of Association policy, the Labor Relations Counsel provides assistance to pilot governing bodies and to individual members on all subjects that affect their employment. In coordination with department managers, they use thorough understanding of applicable laws and comprehensive experience in Association policies and procedures to handle an extensive range of complex labor relations assignments, often on short notice, and function as a labor relations professional. They also provide staff assistance in all phases of negotiating agreements; coordinate all activities during negotiations while concurrently maintaining communication with all interested parties; monitor and administer contracts; manage FAA actions against individual pilots; prepare summaries of NTSB Accident/Incident hearings; and, handle all case management functions. They actively listen, build trust, and adapt their style and tactics to fit the audience. Infrequently, they may be called upon at any hour to respond to safety-related emergency inquiries. Budget and Financial Analyst
The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization in the world (representing over 67,000 pilots at 39 U.S. and Canadian airlines) seeks an experienced Budget and Financial Analyst for our office in Tysons (McLean), Virginia. As an integral part of the Finance team, the Budget and Financial Analyst is a central contributor to a staff group that is responsible for short-, intermediate-, and long-term projects, including development of the annual ALPA budget proposal to the Executive Council. The group works with council officers, committee chairs, department directors, and executive management to model budget proposals and create the annual budget. They are responsible for analyzing, reporting, and forecasting revenues and projecting cash flows under diverse economic and other conditions. The Budget and Financial Analyst is also important in the development and communication of financial analyses and dashboards for budget administrators and executives, including detailed reports on budgeted and actual expenditures. The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization in the world seeks an experienced Senior Labor Relations Counsel for our office in Atlanta, GA to represent 13,000 Delta pilots. Under minimal direct supervision and within the limitations of Association policy, the Senior Labor Relations Counsel provides assistance to pilot governing bodies and to individual members on all subjects that affect their employment. They use thorough understanding of applicable laws and comprehensive experience in Association policies and procedures to handle an extensive range of complex labor relations assignments, often on short notice, and function as a labor relations professional. They also provide staff assistance in all phases of negotiating agreements; coordinate all activities during negotiations while concurrently maintaining communication with all interested parties; monitor and administer contracts; manage FAA actions against individual pilots; prepare summaries of NTSB Accident/Incident hearings; handle all case management functions; and, will work on national projects in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Communications Specialist

The Communication Specialist provides communications support for the advancement of the Association’s collective bargaining goals and other ALPA-wide communications initiatives. They will work with assigned leaders of the MECs (Master Executive Councils), providing professional support in all areas of communications. They will also assist non-assigned pilot groups and MECs, as needed, during end-game negotiations, special events, and other matters that require additional resources.
