The Air Line Pilots Association, International, the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization in the world seeks an experienced Benefits Specialist for the Delta Master Executive Council (MEC) Office in Atlanta, representing over 14,200 pilots flying for Delta. The Benefits Specialist helps to develop and implement the Delta Airlines (DAL) Master Executive Council’s goals by providing professional and technical support to the Delta pilots in the understanding of the Delta Airlines welfare and retirement benefit programs. S/he also provides continuity by establishing relationships with company representatives, ALPA staff, and outside service providers.
S/he provides support to the pilot group concerning company-sponsored benefit programs, including retirement (defined benefit and defined contribution), disability, health (medical, dental, vision, and account-based programs), life, and AD&D, as well as union-sponsored welfare plans. S/he serves as an in-house consultant to the MEC and its Retirement & Insurance Committee, in the area of employee benefits, and as a daily contact in the MEC Office for individual pilots, providing information and assistance in the benefits area.
S/he conducts regularly scheduled new hire seminars for pilots and attends ALPA new hire receptions. S/he also works with the company to resolve benefits issues for members.
